Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a Research Scientist I to work in Mebane, NC.
Research Scientist I responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Set-up, conduct and manage study/trial activities according to protocol, GLP, SOP and Sponsor requirementsAssist the Study Director with all phases of study design, scheduling and conductAssist in writing, reviewing and editing reports, protocols and SOPsAccurately prepare all solutions needed for analysisAssure accurate and complete collection of study data and report timely to SponsorsMaintain study data and facility records in organized mannerUse and training of sponsor e-notebooks and other data collection hardware/softwareParticipate in periodic GLP trainingUse of study management database, as requiredSupervision of field/lab staff, as assignedDomestic travel will be requiredQualificationsThe ideal candidate would have:
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesBasic Minimum
Qualifications:

degree in an appropriate field (e.

biology, environmental science, entomology).
Experience with pollinator/beekeeping, ecotoxicology, or entomology.
Knowledge of agricultural and related laboratory practices, plant life and development.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, lift and walk for hours in the fieldAbility to lift and carry up to 40 poundsAbility to work extended hours during time critical periodsAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipPosition is full-time, with overtime as needed.
