Fire Protection Systems (FPS) is seeking a Contracts Specialist to support its Residential and Commercial products. This position will be primarily responsible for coordinating the review, preparation, implementation, and communication of customer contracts, joint incentive agreements (JIA), and customer requirements outside the business norm. The contract specialist ensures that non-employee sales representatives (NESR) have an LGL-14 compliant contract on file.
The contract specialist will be expected to work in an independent manner and to exercise sound business and legal judgment. This contract specialist will also be required to provide training on contract language and JIA tools. This position will participate in value stream mapping and other ACE activities.
More specifically, the scope of the work may include:
- Work with sales and sales operations to negotiate NESR, distributor, dealer, and channel partner agreements and coordinate necessary approvals under various BIS policies on a timely basis
- Work with various functional groups at different levels of the BIS organization including legal, sales, sales operations, operations, IT, and engineering to negotiate and implement a variety of contracts and ensure compliance with contract terms and applicable BIS policies
- Work with sales leaders of various brands to negotiate direct sale contracts with customers
- Support sales operation management of annual sales review and contracting process with respect to, distributors, dealers and other channel partners
- Support sales operation's onboarding of new NESRs, distributors, dealers and channel partners including negotiation and implementation of standard template agreements
- Assume responsibility for all other contracts deemed necessary by business management
- Responsible for accuracy of JIA Sharepoint tool and coordinate needed updates and changes with local and off shore development team
- Develop and conduct training for field and sales personnel
- Participate in department ACE projects, taking an active lead role (particularly those relating to contract and JIA processes)
