Our hospital is looking for a Full Time Groomer needed immediately for fast pace small animal practice. Must have three year's experience, own grooming tools, and be willing to work Saturdays. Portfolio required showcasing ability to groom all types of dogs and cats. Established Client Base. Working interview required. Great benefits for right candidate.
Duties will include:
Professionally perform basic grooming services on animals as requested by clients
Perform grooming services including brushing, bathing, ear and teeth cleaning, expression of anal glands, & trimming nails, etc.
Assist with generating and developing the grooming business
Assist in booking grooming appointments, and performing follow-up phone calls and reminders to customers
Ensure the safety and well-being of each animal
Utilize grooming instruments including shears and dryers
Follow owner's instructions and/or breed profiles/standards when clipping or trimming an animal's coat
Lift animals and merchandise up to 30 pounds
The ideal candidate will have:
A love of animals
Knowledge of the grooming industry
Have a minimum of three years experience grooming pets
Must be a positive self motivator with great customer service skills
Reliable and ability to work with others Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
