Summary:
Assists in the daily operations of the practice including patient reception, scheduling, general office work, and patient check-in, taking and recording vital signs, collecting specimens and assisting the physician.

Qualifications:
A.
Education & Training:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) a graduate of an accredited medical assistant training program required.
B.
Work
Experience:
One year of professional experience working with patients, preferably in a medical office setting.
C.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of basic medical assistant theory and practice.
Knowledge of basic examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
Skill in administering variety of treatments and medications as directed.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and public.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to communicate clearly, recognize problems and recommend solutions.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Working knowledge of medical terminology, practice computer systems and software, insurance, medical/legal issues relevant to the practice.
Must be able to view and type on computer screens for long periods and to work in a stressful environment.
Must be able to access, input and retrieve information from computer.
Must be able to use calculator.
D.
Must be certified in basic CPR.
A current American Heart Association (AHA), Basic Life Support (BLS) card for Health Care Provider is required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
