Project Engineer

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the preparation and submittal of drawing packages based on customer specifications for electrical equipment and controls. You will work with project managers, manufacturing and customers, within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts, & resolve issues. Tasks: Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: o Interpret customer and sales specifications and translate into instructions for manufacture. o Ensure that we meet customer requirements, quality, safety, and cost objectives. o Prepare, submit and release drawing packages based on customer specifications. o Support the generation of cost estimates and attend customer meetings. o Design custom control circuits within defined safety limits. o Maintain planned output to meet schedule and high levels of engineering quality. o Support manufacturing in resolution of issues and engineering change notices. o Interface with customers, regional sales and field installation services personnel. o Promote open communication and maintain effective working relationships. o Work cross-functionally with multiple teams. o Plan, organize, lead and execute multiple small and large projects simultaneously. o Generate ideas for process improvement opportunities and execute small projects. o Coordinate scheduling of orders to level load and set achievable delivery dates. o Evaluate incoming orders to estimate proper engineering and manufacturing cycles. Requirements: Basic Qualifications: o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university & 2 years relevant industry experience, (OR a high school diploma / GED with 4 years of experience in an engineering, IT, scientific or other technical position). Preferred Qualifications: o Experience with motor control centers (MCC) or switchboard/switchgear (SWBD/SWGR) products. o Experience designing controls and communication circuits, including industry communication protocols, programmable logic controllers and human machine interfaces. o Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to analyze and resolve problems. o Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics, & technical specifications. o Ability to work independently, or as part of a team. o Ability to welcome change and work in fast paced environment. o Strong oral and written communication skills. o Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. o Project management skills with ability to plan, execute & document programs / projects. o Computer skills in Office and experience with software tools such as EPLAN and CREO. o Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision. o Willingness to support off-shift manufacturing teams. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
